Personal Info:

I am originally from Collegeville, Pennsylvania.  Collegeville is a suburb of Philadelphia near Valley Forge.  I attended the Methacton School District from K-12.  In my Junior year of high school I took an advanced placement environmental sciences class.  The class featured a section on geology, which was guest-taught by a retired professional geology who became a teacher at my school.  I was very interested in the section, so I decided that geology would be the path for me in my education.

Previous Work:

While attending Penn State I worked on two projects:

  • A taphonomic study on a fluvially derived bone deposit in the Santa Fe River, FL.  This research was presented at the 2009 Society of Vertebrate Paleontology’s Annual Meeting in Bristol, United Kingdom.
  • A climate study of central Illinois during the Sangamon Interglacial using oxygen isotopes as a proxy for temperature.
