Paul Fajman is the Teaching Assistant for the Introduction to Atmospheric Sciences and Physical Meteorology. His duties include the instruction of laboratory for both courses and holding office hours to assist students with questions regarding lab or class. Paul is currently working with the National Weather Service Forecasting Office in Valley, NE to create an improved verification system for the use of evaluating forecasts. The goal of the new verification system will be to find biases in human and computer forecasts and hopefully lead to an overall improvement in forecasts.

Paul received a B.S. in Meteorology/Climatology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in May of 2008. He is currently working towards a M.S. in Meteorology/Climatology and is targeting a 2010 graduation. After graduation, Paul is looking forward to a career in operational meteorology.

  • Paul was born and raised in Albion, NE (The Gateway to the Sandhills).
  • Paul was a two time winner of the Albion Roller Hockey Goalie of the Year Award.
  • In 7th grade, Paul was the winner of a belly flop contest at his local pool.
  • Paul is a current member of the UNL Broomball team.
  • Paul was able to get up on his very first attempt water skiing
  • In the past year, Paul has conquered Megamans 1-4 on NES and is currently working on Megaman 5.
