Research Statement

My research interests are the impacts of aerosol pollution on air quality, weather, and climate. My research approaches include satellite remote sensing, meteorology-chemistry coupled modeling, data assimilation, and integration of these elements.  Broadly, my work has three categories:

• Other collaborative work that was not my past focus but provides me necessary background to expand my research in others areas of chemistry-climate interaction.  Examples include mesoscale modeling of precipitation, explanation on the diurnal variation of NO_x observed by satellites, and observational evidence of the impact of land use on energy budget at the top of atmosphere.
