Courses

UNL has many couse offerings within the Hydrologic Sciences, from within the Department of Geosciences and across the University (School of Natural Resources, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Biological Systems Engineering). In conjunction with their advisor, graduate students can design a program focussed on a specific area in the hydrologic sciences (e.g. aquatic chemistry, surface-water hydrology, groundwater hydrology). Classes outside of the student's specific research interests are also encouraged to develop the interdiscinplinary skills required to address environmental problems encountered in today's world. Courses offered by Durelle Scott include Aquatic Chemistry, Material Fate and Transport Modeling, and GIS in the Geosciences. Addtional faculty in Geosciences (Erkan Istanbulluoglu, Vitaly Zlotnik, Darryll Pederson, Sheri Fritz) offer water-related classes, including groundwater hydrology, Land surface water interactions, and Biogeochemical Cycles.

Complete course listings available across campus will soon be listed. For the current list, please contact Durelle Scott.
